We consider Henry Ford a great leader in the automobile industry for his innovative vision and successful management over his workforce. With the help of his friends and partners in business (such as Thomas Edison) he had been able to build the company from the ground up. What had made his company such a success was how he had manipulated and shaped the assembly line and how he managed all the jobs that he would need to make it work. His innovative use of the assembly line had been improved to the point where a new Ford Model T was created every 93 minutes. He did this so that he could produce as many of his cars as possible and keep them at a lower price than that of his competitors. The key factor in his assembly line however would be the very large workforce as he needed a group of employees doing one specific job at a time. Henry Ford however, valued his employees and had given the average worker 5$ a day (110$ presently) and was able to fill in all the jobs that he needed. This would keep him a very large workforce and the loyalty of his employees. With his assembly line, workers, and previously mentioned Model T, Henry Ford's products had dominated the market and had left his competitors struggling to keep up with his business. Modern manufacturing industries use his innovative techniques everyday for the effectiveness and productivity. He has exhibited skill, innovation, and motivation in all the years in which he has lead the Ford Motor company making it what had controlled the market in the past. These are the skills that we all can look for and seek in a strong leader such as Henry Ford himself as he lead his company from a small business in manufacturing into the large scale company that now sells its products around the entire world.
